No additional drivers will be removed from the contract after the vehicle leaves our office. All additional drivers are responsible for the vehicle until the vehicle is returned.

Our authorization deposit amount for a rental car is simple. At Action DISCOUNT rent-a-car, we will authorize your credit card the rental price plus a deposit of $300 for most "regular" cars, or a higher amount for our line of EXOTIC and LUXURY vehicles. If your rental is a Cash, Debit Card, or Bank Card rental, the minimum deposit above the rental price is $750 for non exotic cars. Most major credit cards such as Amex, Master Card, Visa, and Discover have Car Rental Insurance available at no charge as a courtesy to the credit card owner. Call your credit card company and ask them "Do I have car rental insurance on my card, and if yes, what is the limit?" and they will tell you. If you are covered, you may decline our insurance and you will be covered for collision damages or theft of our vehicle with no deductable. This is very good for you. BUT please remember. All Porsches, Corvette, Full Size SUV's, and in most cases vehicles with an original sticker price of over $50,000 will probably not be covered by the credit card. Some credit cards including American Express do have higher insurance coverages. American Express also has a higher level of insurance available. It is called Premium Car Rental Insurance. We recommend it very highly. It covers most all vehicles including many of the high end vehicles and full size SUV's and sports cars. Call AMEX and ask to be upgraded to this coverage id you need an exotic vehicle or large SUV. It's worth the phone call and to enoll in this Premium Car Rental Insurance.

A cargo van is a van with ONLY 2 seats. Any van rental that has in it any additonal seating is considered and will be charges as a passenger van. NO EXCEPTIONS. Thank You

We will always try to give you a specific color or model of car, but we cannot guarantee that a specific car will be available. You will however get the correct car in the car class you reserved.
We also cannot guaranty the state of registration of our vehicle. Our vehicles may be registered on NY, NJ, PA, etc.

We do CASH rentals on all our vehicle. You will need to bring with you 3 forms of identification (cell phone bill, pay stub, etc.) There is also a refundable deposit for cash rentals of not less than $500. Please call our office for more information.

Due to extremely high demand for vehicles during Holidays and weekends, please be advised that Corporate Rates are NOT VALID during any Holiday period whether it falls on a weekday or weekend. Corporate rates are also NOT VALID on weekends (friday, saturday, sunday), unless written approval is issued by our manager.

The renter is fully responsible for all tire, wheel, and hubcap damage during the rental. Whether the tire and wheel were damaged by road hazard, driver error, or even a blowout, the renter will be held responsible and charged for any expenses to repair the vehicle or replace the tire or related components. If towing is necessary, the renter is also responsible for all towing expenses.

You need to know that we reserve the right to electronically check the (first time) renters' drivers license. The onbly information we are able to access is DMV information which is public knowledge. There is a slight charge for this proceedure. Depending on the state, the charge can be $3-6.

We at Action DISCOUNT Car Rental gladly accept Debit Cards and Bank Cards for most rentals in Manhattan, New York City, and Uniondale. The only condition is that the Debit or Bank Card MUST have a VISA or MasterCard logo on it.

There is a refundable deposit for all rentals. The deposit amount is depended upon the vehicle that you rent. Exotic vehicles deposits range from $1000-$8000. Please call our office if you have any question. We will be happy to explain it to you.
The minimum deposit for a cash, or debit or bank card rental, is $750. This could increase depending on the vehicle that is being rented and on other factors such as your drivers license status, or age. For credit card rentals with available car rental insurance(not including debit or bank cards)the minimum deposit required on your credit card is $300 above your rental price. The $300 deposit applys to compacts, midsize, and fullsize cars. If you can provide your own personal insurance coverage through your own automobile insurance, then why might waive some of the deposit required amount.

In order to guarantee your reservation for an Exotic Vehicle or 15 Passenger Van, you must call our office and leave a credit card deposit for your reservation. We normally make a courtesy call to the telephone number that you supply us, but please do not depend on us to find you. Please call us after making the online reservation and confirm it with a deposit.
Due to the high demand for exotic vehicles and 15 passenger vans, confirming that the vehicle will be available for you requires that you also verbally speak with one of our reservations agents. The reservations agent will then check and verify that the vehicle is actually available for the date you requested. If it is available, you will then be asked to leave a deposit confirming your reservation. Unfortunatly without a deposit we will not be able to hold the vehicle for you.

At Action DISCOUNT Car Rentals we offer drop-off and pick-up service. We can deliver your vehicle to you during business hours. To the Airports, Hotel, Home, office, or other pre-arranged location. The charge for this service is determined by what vehicle we are delivering and of course the delivery location. So please call us as soon as you know your deliver time and date and we will discuss the cost and requirements needed for this service.

We allow almost all of our vehicles to be driven out of NY state. But we must be told where you are planning to travel to and your furthest destination. Once we are told your driving destination, and if it is an out of state trip, you will need to get written approval from the manager, and an unlimited miles program might or might not be available, depending on the type of vehicle. We will be able to create a special milage program just for you. We want to make sure that you get the proper vehicle with roadside assistance for your long journey outside the state. Action Car rental stocks both 5 and 7 passenger Explorers. Because of this, we urge you to notify us when reserving and Explorer, if you must have a 7 passenger vehicle. This will help us to serve you better and have the correct vehicle prepared for you at pickup time.
All Explorers are the same in interior size. The 7 passenger takes up some of the rear space area, and the 5 passenger has much more room in the rear.

Our policy for refueling gas is very simple. Please return the vehicle with the same gasoline level as when you took the vehicle. The fuel level amount will be printed on your rent-a-car contract. If you return it with less gasoline, we will charge you $3.95/gal used. So, please check your gas level before returning the vehicle. Thanks

For you convenience and enjoyment, we now have available for rent portable
GPS Navigation units. The daily rental rate for the unit is $10.00. There is also a $500.00 deposit for the unit. The deposit is refudable upon returning of the Navigation device in undamaged condition.

WHEN RENTING OUR GPS UNIT, IF THE UNIT DOES NOT COME BACK IN WORKING CONDITION, OR IS BROKEN OR LOST,THE $500 DEPOSIT WILL BE USED TOWARD THE REPLACEMENT OF A NEW GPS DEVICE. IF ANY ACCERSSORIES/PARTS ARE MISSING, THE $500 DEPOSIT WILL BE USED TOWARDS THE REPLACEMENT OF THOSE ACCESSORIES/PARTS.

Most vehicles equipped with GPS Navigation use a navigation DVD which we supply with the vehicle. If the vehicle is returned without the navigation DVD the renter will be charged for a replacement DVD. The price of the DVD is approximately $200. So please do not remove the DVD from the special DVD player. Thank you.

We at Action DISCOUNT Car Rentals will hold a confirmed vehicle reservation for not more than one half hour past the scheduled pick up time. Since there is usually such a high demand for EXOTIC vehicles, SUV's, and cars in Manhattan, we ask you to please call us at 888-395-3900 if you are going to be late by more than 1/2 hour.

During holiday periods discounts and coupon specials DO NOT apply. Holiday rates might be higher than internet prices and are NOT DISCOUNTABLE, and rates of cargo vans might be higher than posted on the internet. If your reservation is made within 4 weeks of a national holiday the posted internet price is not guaranteed, please call to confirm prices. During certain holiday periods such as Memorial Day, 4th of July, Thanksgiving, Labor Day, and possibly other holidays, the minimum rental is 4 days. This means that if the vehicle is returned before the 4th day, the charge will still be the full holiday 4 day charge. Due to the many reservation requests during a holiday time, in order to confirm and hold your reservation, you must call in and give a deposit towards your rental. Without a deposit we cannot guarantee the reservation. For further information please call our office.
Also, please note that duting holiday periods, there is NO unlimited miles program. The rate that we will quote you will include 1000 miles. Any miles driven over the allowed 1000 miles during the holiday period will be subject to a charge of $.40/mile. If you know that you will need additional miles, please advise us as soon as possible and the management might be able to create a special program for your needs. Thank you.

DURING A 2, 3, OR 4 DAY HOLIDAY PERIOD, UNLESS WE SPECIFICALLY WRITE OTHERWISE ON YOUR CONTRACT, THE RATE QUOTED TO YOU WILL NOT CHANGE IF YOU DECIDE TO RETURN THE VEHICLE PRIOR TO THE DATE/TIME PRINTED ON YOUR CONTRACT.
FOR EXAMPLE: IF YOU RENT A VEHICLE DURING THE THANKSGIVING 4 DAY HOLIDAY PERIOD, YOUR RENTAL CHARGE WILL BE THE SAME IF YOU KEPT THE VEHICLE FOR 1, 2, 3, OR 4 DAYS. HOLIDAY PERIODS INCLUDE LABOR DAY, MEMORIAL DAY, THANKSGIVING, 4TH OF JULY, CHRISTMAS, ETC.
DURING A 4 DAY HOLIDAY THE RATES IS ALWAYS A 4 CHARGE AND NO DISCOUNT MAY BE APPLIED TO THAT RATE. International drivers welcome. We DO ACCEPT foreign drivers license from many countries, and of course all international licenses are accepted. Please call Action Discount Car Rentals with any concerns. Drivers with foreign licenses, must bring their passport, or visa. If you are living in the USA whether permanently or temporarily, you must also bring with you proof of where you reside. This might be a telephone bill or a pay stub. We must be able to identify your place of residence while in the USA. These requirement are due to homeland security issues. If you are staying with family or friends while in the USA, you must supply us with their address and valid telephone number. Thank you for your cooperation.

There is optional vehicle protection available to cover the renters financial responsibility for damage or loss to the vehicle. This coverage, CDW (Collision Damage Waiver) is optional and may be declined. There are several options that you might have. Many credit cards today give car rental insurance at no charge. Your own automobile policy from home or business might also cover car rentals. It is wise to call these institutions and inquire if you have car rental insurance. If you do have this insurance, then you do not and should not purchase insurance from us. But if you have a debit or bank card, these cards DO NOT cover car rentals. Also 15 Passenger vans, Full size SUV's, and some sports cars are NOT covered by any credit cards unless you join the American Express Premium Car Rental Insurance (this is a fantastic plan that will cover most all vehicles and we highly recommend it) . If you rent any one of the above vehicles or any luxury or exotic vehicle from our fleet, and do not supply your own insurance, you will be required to purchase CDW insurance in order to reduce your exposure to extreme potential losses. If you need further explanation, we will gladly discuss it with you.
In some circumstances we reserve the right not to rent a specific vehicle unless the renter supplys us with proof of self insurance.

In-Town specials or other vehicles which are priced at $40 or less are limited to 100 per day. If you will be driving over 100 miles per day, the rate will be changed to either the regular printed price sheet price per day or you will be charged for mileage over the initial 100 miles traveled per day, whichever is higher. So, please, if you intend to drive over 100 miles, just tell us and we will give you the appropriate car for your needs and give you the most economical rate. Thanks.

Our internet website prices are often Discounted from normal prices. The discounted rates are guaranteed to you subject to the rental policies on this list. Should you cause an exception, the rate might be different. Please print out and bring in your online reservation if possible. On holidays, and weekend rentals (april-november) discount coupons are not valid unless authorized by our management in writing.

All rentals cars in Manhattan are calculated by a 24 hours clock. There is a 1 HOUR GRACE period. But, if you exceed the 24 hour period by more than 1 hour, a per hours late charge will apply to each hour late (starting from the first late hour) until you reach the daily rate. When the total late fee reaches the additional day rate, you will be charged only an additional day. The late fee policy will then apply on the next day if needed. We at Action Discount Car Rentals want you to feel comfortable with your rental. So, if there are any questions regarding overtime, please call us and we will be happy to help you.

Our travel radius policy is very simple. If you will be traveling a "longer distance" away from our office than 350 miles radius, you must notify us at the time of reservation. The reason for this is that our rates for a "long distance" rental plus mileage rates might be different than those quoted you on the internet or by our agents. In addition, if you rented a vehicle and after taking the vehicle, only then decided to change your travel plans and go on a "long distance" drive, you will still be expected to notify our office so that we can review your rental contract and possibly change the rental and mileage rateif applicable.

In some cases when renting a car, the customer might have needs or concerns regarding one or more of our policies. This is understandable. So, at Action DISCOUNT Car Rentals we are here to help. One of the Owners or Managers is always available to speak with you and if need be override or change a policy to meet your needs. Your satisfaction is our concern.

Please note that all of our exotic and luxury vehicles are limited to a certain amount of miles per day included in the daily price(not more than 200 per day). On other vehicle that usually are not limited to daily mileage, if your rental is 3 or 4 days or less, including all holiday periods, you are limited to not more than 1000 miles total for the 3 or 4 days at no charge. Any miles driven over the 1000 miles will be subject to a mileage charge of 40 cents per mile. If you intend on traveling on a longer distance trip where the distance from our office is 350 miles or more, please let us know ahead of time, or at the time of your reservation. Our policy is that mid size and compacts do not travel to distances further than 350 miles away from our location. We will be more than happy to create a special package that will include all the necessary miles and the appropriate car that you will need, at a special price for you.
Please note that if your rental will be over 600 miles, In-town specials and any discounts from our printed price sheets are only available with managers written approval. If you will be traveling outside the tri-state area, please note that you must notify us of your destination, and that you will be limited to 300 miles per day included in the rental rate, (on any of our non-exotic vehicles)and that there will be a mileage charge for each mile driven over the alloted 300 miles per day.
We will be happy to create a special long distance travel package for you if you will be traveling further than the above mentioned mileage. Please speak with one of our courtious agents at any time.

During Holiday periods and weekends(Friday-Sunday) periods,(starting April and through Septemper) reservations must be made at least 48 hours before pick up time in order for your reservation to be valid. If reserving less than 48 hours in advance, please call our office and confirm the reservation with our agent. We will do our best to put you in the car you requested. Also please note that even if you make a reservation and the computer sends you a reservation confirmation, there is the chance that you will not be able to pick up the vehicle you selected at the time you reserved. This is due to customers before you who might be extending their rental at the last minute. In order to guarantee your vehicle you must call us with a credit card deposit during weekend and holiday period. If you wish to confirm your reservation please call us at 212-253-2299 with your deposit. Especially if you wish to reserve within less than 48 hours of your pick up time. We must have this policy due to the extremely high demand for vehicles during the peak seasons of the year. We cannot guarantee your weekend or holiday reservation if you reserve within less than 48 hours prior to pickup and did not call in with a deposit on your credit card. In order to confirm, please call us and leave a credit card or cash deposit. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Anyone with NO valid drivers license may NOT rent or drive or be included on the rental agreement.You cannot rent a vehicle if you have only a learners permit. NO EXCEPTIONS.

At Action Discount Car Rentals all our rentals must be returned to the original pick up location. If you encounter a problem with the vehicle during your rental, you must notify us immediately but you are not allowed to abandon the vehicle or leave the vehicle at a place of your choosing. Arrangement MUST be made with our office to check out your vehicle at a location near you. We have a network of repair facilities that should be able to service you rental vehicle.
Please remember that if you leave the vehicle or abandon it, you will be responsible for ALL costs incurred to retreive the vehicle and return it to our office. The rental will extend through the date and time that the vehicle returns to our office.
Please remember that if you leave a vehicle due to a flat time or running out of gasoline, it is your responsibility to refuel the vehicle and also to replace the flat tire.

Please note that we DO NOT allow any of our vehicles including 15 Passenger Vans and SUV's to tow any trailer. Nothing is allowed to be connected or hitched to our vehicles at any time! This is a safety policy.

We are not responsible for any cost that the renter claims during the rental period. We do not reimburse the cost of other car rentals, restaurants, hotel, or any other travel costs during the rental period.

Action DISCOUNT Car Rentals accepts the following methods of payment:
Cash, Debit Card(with m/c or visa logo), Travelers checks, Visa, Master Card, Amex, Discover, Carte Blanche, Diners Club.

Our policy is clear and simple. No one wants to sit in a car that has pet hair or odor in it. So please do not carry dogs or cats in the vehicle. If you must, then cover the area where your pet is going to be. If the vehicle comes back with pet dirt or odor, YOU WILL be CHARGED an additional charge for cleaning and deodorizing the vehicle. The charge is a mininum of $70, depending on the amount of work necessary to clean the interior and remove the hair and odor. This is a strict policy that will be enforced.

Roadside assistance means you can feel safe and secure driving a vehicle from Action Discount Car Rentals and knowing that should a problem occur (even a flat tire), and you have driven outside New York City, you are just a phone call away from help.

We at Action Car Rental are proud of our very competitive rates for our retail customers as well as our corporate accounts. The rates printed on your Rental Agreement are ONLY valid until the Due Back date printed. If any renter, whether retail or corporate, extends the rental past the rental Due Back date printed on the Rental Agreement (contract) and returns the vehicle on a later date than the one printed on his/her original Rental Agreement, the additional days past the printed "Due Back" date will be priced at the higher full price rate displayed in our office price sheet. If any renter extends his/her rental past the Due Back date and those extended days fall into a weekend (friday, saturday, sunday) or into a holiday period such as any federal holiday plus others, the renter WILL BE RESPONSIBLE for the full rental policy and prices of that weekend or holiday. Please be advised that some weekends and holiday rentals policies might include substantially higher rates than our normal price sheet rates plus a minimum rental charge of 3 or 4 days if the rental spans over the holiday period. No exceptions can be made to this policy unless it is in written form and an updated Rental Agreement approved by our manager. So, please return your vehicle at the agreed upon date printed on your Rental Agreement.

Please be advised that if you need to cancel your weekend reservation for a non-exotic vehicle we require that you notify us at least 24 hours in advance for a Friday pickup, or by Thursday 7:00PM for a Saturday or Sunday pickup. If canceling in less time than stated above there will be a cancelation charge that you will be responsible for. On non-exotic cars the cancelation charge for a weekend is the 1 day advertised internet weekend rate. On holiday rentals the charge is your full holiday rental rate. This is due to the extreme shortage of vehicles in New York during holiday periods.
For exotic vehicles and 15 passenger vans the charge is the 1 day internet rate for your pickup date and time. This includes weekend and weekday rentals. Holiday cancelation will be charged the full reservation rate.
So please, if you must cancel, call ahead in plenty of time, and speak to an agent, ask for her first name, and agent number, and cancelation number. Or, e-mail us at action.office@gmail.com

If the renter, whether retail or corporate, extends the rental period to a new date past the original return date on the rental agreement, no matter the reason, this will automatically void any special pricing or rate that was associated with the original rental length, and the normal printed price sheet rental rate will then be applied to the total rental time starting from the first day of the original rental agreement. In other words; for example; if the renter was given a 2 day special price that included a certain % discount, and then decided to extend the rental to 5 days, then the % discount will no longer be valid and the total rental will be calculated by the regular printed price sheet price. Any exception must be given by the manager in writing.

Each one of our vehicles is equipped with a spare tire (unless the vehicle has runflat tires), and a jack and lug wrench. It is the sole responsibility of the renter to replace the tire with the spare provided in case of a flat tire. We do not give flat tire replacement service. The renter is also responsible for the cost of the replacement tire. Unforetunately there is sometimes road hazzar, but we cannot assume responsibility for the damage caused to the tires and rims. Please drive carefully and be aware of streets ahead of you.

The renter is fully and totally responsible for any parking, traffic, and E-Z PASS summonses during the time of the rental. If you ignire and not pay any summonses you receive, we will be obligeted to send your summonses to a company that charges a service fee to collect our tickets charges and bill you on YOUR credit card. There fee is $40 over and above the fee for the summons plus any additional late fees or other service charges administered by NYC or any other municipality that issued the summons. This could cost you alot more than the original ticket. So please don't get a ticket, but if you do, please pay it timely in order to avoid all the other charges that you will have to pay anyway. If you try to avoid paying summonses, you will only pay alot more later. There is no escape from paying summonses. Please take our advise. We know and we're trying to help you. PLEASE PAY YOUR SUMMONSES. Thanks

Child safety seats are available. We understand that many people travel outside New York with little kids. We are proud to say that we carry a full stock of children and infant seats. our fee is nominal, only $5.00.day. You can reserve the seat on line along with your vehicle reservation.

CD players adaptors available. Some cars are not equipped with a CD Player. So, we can provide you witha CD Adaptor for only $3.30/day. Just BRING YOUR CD WALKMAN along for the ride. That's all you need.

Bicycle racks available in our Manhattan location. Many people rent cars that are not large enough to accomodate a bicycle. For a small charge you can take your bike with you. Simple and convenient.

The renter is fully and totally responsible for any damage sustained to, and the cost of repair or replacement of the tires and the rims of the rental vehicle. Any work done to the tires or rims MUST be first authorized by our manager.
If our manager approves a repair, the renter must return all claimed original parts including the tire, rim, and repair receipt upon return of the rental vehicle.

We understand that travel agents have had a tough time recently with the airline carriers such as American Airlines, United Airlines, etc. where commissions have been cut back. In an effort to support travel agents, Action DISCOUNT Rent-A-Car provides easy access to our rates for Travel Agents for any travel to NEW YORK CITY directly on our home page. NO repairs of any kind, no matter how large or small may be done to the rental vehicle without written approval of the management. If a repair is done without approval, the renter will be fully reposnsible for any and all additional repair work that might be needed in order to properly repair the rental vehicle and to brig it back to its pre-rental condition.

We at Action Car Rental are always concerned about your safety. Therefore we have a policy that restricts the rental of certain smaller vehicles to very long distance trips. Our policy is that if you are traveling to a radius of over 350 miles you should travel in a roomier and heavier full size car instead of a compact or mid-size. You will be more comfortable and safer in the larger vehicle. Please let us know your travel intention and we will fit you in the proper vehicle for your trip.
Please speak with one of our representatives in order to create the right package for you. If traveling out of the country , to Canada, you must notify us and discuss the rental with us prior to arriving at our counter. Thank you.

RETURN POLICY FOR 741 BROADWAY - DOWNTOWN LOCATION
We allow vehicle drop off at our 741 broadway location up to 12 midnight.
If you are returning after office closing hours, just drive the vehicle into the parking garage and advise the parking garage attendant that you are returning the rental vehicle. He will put the vehicle in a safe and secure location and your rental contract will be closed as of the following morning.
Please leave the KEY IN the IGNITION and DO NOT LOCK THE DOOR. Also note that you will be fully responsible for the vehicle as written on your rental agreement until we reopen the office on the next business day and check in your vehicle and condition.

RETURN POLICY FOR 200 East 33rd STREET - MIDTOWN LOCATION
We allow vehicle drop off up to 12 midnight.
If you are returning after office closing hours, just drive the vehicle into the closed gate and you MUST advise the parking garage attendant downstairs that you are returning the rental vehicle. He will put the vehicle in a safe and secure location and your rental contract will be closed as of the following morning.
Please leave the KEY with the attendant and DO NOT LOCK THE DOOR. Also note that you will be fully responsible for the vehicle as written on your rental agreement until we reopen the office on the next business day and check in your vehicle and condition.

RETURN POLICY FOR 261 UNIONDALE AVENUE, UNIONDALE LONG ISLAND.
Vehicle drop off is allowed during business hours. Please check our schedule.
Also note that if you choose to drop off the vehicle after business hours, you will be fully responsible for the vehicle as written on your rental agreement until we reopen the office on the next business day and check in your vehicle and condition.
