Additional Drivers are also recognized as if they are the principal driver. Additional driver fee will be applied to each additional person printed on the contract whether or not that person will be driving the vehicle. No additional drivers will be removed from the contract after the vehicle leaves our office. All additional drivers are responsible for the vehicle until the vehicle is returned.

You must be at least 24 years old in order to rent a 15 passenger van.
Age Restrictions apply to EXOTIC and specialty cars and SUV's. If you are a renter 21 years of age or below, you MUST supply Your Own vehicle collision and theft insurance (thru Credit Card insurance or personal vehicle insurance) in order to rent an EXOTIC or LUXURY vehicle, and several other vehicles that can be explained to you at our office.

At Action Discount Car Rental , we will authorize your credit card the rental price plus a deposit of $300 for most "regular" cars, or a higher amount for our line of EXOTIC and LUXURY vehicles.
If your rental is a Cash, Debit Card, or Bank Card rental, the minimum deposit above the rental price is $1000 for non exotic cars.
We release the unused deposit or hold balance on the date of your return.
However, the timely release of any authorization or hold not used towards the rental is dependent on YOUR bank's release policy. The release of deposit funds can take anywhere from 3 to 7 business days for U.S. issued non-debit credit cards. All others can take up to 30 days to be released.

Most major credit cards such as Amex, Master Card, Visa, and Discover have Car Rental Insurance available at no charge as a courtesy to the credit card owner. Call your credit card company and ask them "Do I have car rental insurance on my card, and if yes, what is the limit?" and they will tell you. Some credit cards including Amex do have higher insurance coverages. American Express also has a higher level of insurance available. It is called Premium Car Rental Insurance. We recommend it very highly. It covers most all vehicles including many of the high end vehicles and full size SUV's and sports cars. Call AMEX and ask to be upgraded to this coverage for an exotic vehicle or large SUV.

We cannot guarantee that a specific car color or model will be available. You will however get the correct car in the car class you reserved.

We do CASH rentals. You will need to bring with you 2 forms of current picture identification plus 2 current utility bills (cell phone bill, etc.), and 2 current pay stubs.
All documentation must be in the name of the renter with the current home address.
There is a refundable deposit for cash rentals of at least $1000, depending on the vehicle you would like to rent.

If you are renting a luxury or exotic vehicle and your deposit is in cash or DEBIT CARD only, upon return of your deposit a portion of the cash amount, up to $500 for each 7 days of rental will be held by us until we are able to verify whether or not your rental caused any parking violations within New York City. This verification can take up to 21 days. The reason for this policy is that if a parking summons or traffic summons was caused by the driver of your rental vehicle, we must be able to fund the payment of the possible summons. If you have any question or issue with this policy please call our office.

Corporate Rates are NOT VALID during any Holiday period whether it falls on a weekday or weekend. Corporate rates are also NOT VALID on weekends (Friday, Saturday, Sunday), without written approval by our manager.

The renter is fully responsible for all tire, wheel, and hubcap damage during the rental. Whether the tire and wheel were damaged by road hazard, driver error, or even a blowout, the renter will be held responsible and charged for any expenses to repair the vehicle or replace the tire or related components, and for related towing charges.

Action reserves the right to electronically check the (first time) renters' drivers license. The only information we are able to access is DMV information which is public knowledge. There is a slight charge for this procedure. Depending on the state, the charge will range from $5 to $25.
Depending on your driving history record, we reserve the right to rent or not to rent you any specific vehicle. Other factors that may determine our decision are your age, and whether or not you are able to supply your own collision insurance. This policy also applies to any additional driver on the rental agreement.

All Debit or Bank Cards MUST have a VISA or MasterCard logo.

There is a refundable deposit for all rentals. The deposit amount is depended upon the vehicle that you rent. Exotic vehicles deposits range from $1000-$10000.
The minimum deposit for a cash, or debit or bank card rental, is $1000. This could increase depending on the vehicle that is being rented and on other factors such as your drivers license status, or age. If you can provide your own personal insurance coverage through your own automobile insurance, we might lower the deposit required amount.

In order to guarantee your reservation for an Exotic Vehicle or 15 Passenger Van, you must call our office and leave a credit card deposit for your reservation. Please call us after making the online reservation and confirm it with a deposit.
The reservations agent will then check and verify that the vehicle is actually available for the date you requested. Without a deposit we will not be able to hold the vehicle for you.

We want you to enjoy many discount, not only ours. At Action DISCOUNT Car Rentals we offer drop-off and pick-up service. We can deliver your vehicle to you during business hours. To the Airports, Hotel, Home, office, or other prearranged location. The charge for this service is determined by what vehicle we are delivering and of course the delivery location.

We want to make sure that you get the proper vehicle with roadside assistance for your long journey outside the state. Your safety and comfort on long distance and all trips is our concern. So please, let us help you by offering the proper vehicle for your needs.

Our policy for refueling gas is very simple. Please return the vehicle with the same gasoline level as when you took the vehicle. The fuel level amount will be printed on your rent-a-car contract. If you return it with less gasoline, we will charge you $6.99/gal used. So, please check your gas level before returning the vehicle. Thanks

GPS Navigation units. The daily rental rate for the unit is $11.99. There is also a $100.00 deposit for the unit. The deposit is refundable upon returning of the Navigation device in undamaged condition.
If any parts are missing or returned broken, part or all of the deposit will be use to pay for the repair or replacement.

Most vehicles equipped with GPS Navigation use a navigation DVD which we supply with the vehicle. If the vehicle is returned without the navigation DVD the renter will be charged for a replacement DVD. The price of the DVD is approximately $200. Do not remove the DVD from the special DVD player.

We at Action DISCOUNT Car Rentals will hold a confirmed vehicle reservation for not more than one half hour past the scheduled pick up time. Since there is usually such a high demand for EXOTIC vehicles, SUV's, and cars in Manhattan, we ask you to please call us if you are going to be late by more than 1/2 hour.

During holiday periods discounts and coupon specials DO NOT apply. Holiday rates might be higher than internet prices and are NOT DISCOUNTABLE. If your reservation is made within 4 weeks of a national holiday the posted internet price is not guaranteed, please call to confirm prices. During certain holiday periods such as Memorial Day, 4th of July, Thanksgiving, Labor Day, and possibly other holidays, the minimum rental is 4 days. This means that if the vehicle is returned before the 4th day, the charge will still be the full holiday 4 day charge. Due to the many reservation requests during a holiday time, in order to confirm and hold your reservation, you must call in and give a deposit towards your rental. Without a deposit we will not guarantee the reservation or the vehicle.

DURING A 2, 3, OR 4 DAY HOLIDAY PERIOD, UNLESS WE SPECIFICALLY WRITE OTHERWISE ON YOUR CONTRACT, THE RATE QUOTED TO YOU WILL NOT CHANGE IF YOU DECIDE TO RETURN THE VEHICLE PRIOR TO THE DATE/TIME PRINTED ON YOUR CONTRACT.
FOR EXAMPLE: IF YOU RENT A VEHICLE DURING THE THANKSGIVING 4 DAY HOLIDAY PERIOD, YOUR RENTAL CHARGE WILL BE THE SAME IF YOU KEPT THE VEHICLE FOR 1, 2, 3, OR 4 DAYS.
DURING A 4 DAY HOLIDAY THE RATES IS ALWAYS A 4 CHARGE AND NO DISCOUNT MAY BE APPLIED TO THAT RATE. AT VERY INFREQUENT TIMES, DUE TO TECHNICAL REASONS THE INTERNET RATE MIGHT NOT BE REFLECTIVE OF A 4 DAY HOLIDAY. FOR EXAMPLE, THE INTERNET RATE MIGHT BE DISPLAYED AS A 1 OR 2 DAY RATE. THIS WOULD BE CONSIDERED AN ERROR AND WE WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO ACCEPT A RESERVATION WITH THE 1 OR 2 DAY PRICE. WE WOULD THEN NOTIFY YOU BY PHONE OR VIA E-MAIL AND ADVISE YOU OF THE CORRECT HOLIDAY RATES. YOU WOULD THEN HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO FINALIZE THE RESERVATION WITH OUR FRIENDLY SALES AGENT.

International drivers welcome. We DO ACCEPT foreign drivers license from many countries, and of course international licenses. Drivers with foreign licenses, must bring their passport or Visa at the time of rental pickup. If you are living in the USA whether permanently or temporarily, you must also bring with you proof of where you reside. This might be a telephone bill, pay stub, or utility bill. These requirement are due to homeland security issues. If you are staying with family or friends while in the USA, you must supply us with their address and valid telephone number.

The discounted internet rates are guaranteed to you subject to our rental policies. Please print out and bring in your online reservation if possible. Internet rates are not guaranteed unless confirmed with a paid deposit.

Please note that even if you make a reservation and the computer sends you a reservation confirmation, in order to guarantee your vehicle you must supply us with credit card information. Especially during weekend and holiday periods.

Miles per gallon displayed near some of our vehicle images and descriptions are only an estimate.

Action Car Rental considers our monthly rate as a 28 day rate.

Anyone with NO valid drivers license may NOT rent or drive or be included on the rental agreement.You cannot rent a vehicle if you have only a learners permit. NO EXCEPTIONS.

All rentals must be returned to the location printed on your Rental Agreement. You must notify us immediately if you encounter any problem, but you are not allowed to abandon the vehicle or leave it at a place of your choosing. Arrangement MUST be made with our office to check your vehicle at a location near you. We have a network of repair facilities to service you vehicle.
If you leave the vehicle or abandon it, you will be responsible for ALL costs incurred to retrieve the vehicle and return it to our office. The rental will extend through the date and time that the vehicle returns to our office.
If you leave a vehicle due to a flat tire or running out of gasoline, it is your full responsibility to refuel the vehicle and also to replace the flat tire.
There may be a drop-off charge to return the rental vehicle to a location other than the one where the vehicle was picked up from.

Please note that we DO NOT allow any of our vehicles including 15 Passenger Vans and SUV's to tow any trailer. Nothing is allowed to be connected or hitched to our vehicles at any time! You will be responsible for any damages incurred to our vehicles due to unauthorized towing.

We are not responsible for any cost that the renter claims during the rental period. We do not reimburse the cost of other car rentals, restaurants, hotel, or any other travel costs during the rental period.

Action DISCOUNT Car Rentals accepts the following methods of payment:

Promotional Periods are those periods of days during the year when Action Car Rental offers reduced or discounted rates on the internet when are lower than our regular published rates.
During Promotional Periods no additional discounts allowed.

No one wants to sit in a car that has pet hair or odor in it. Please do not carry dogs or cats in the vehicle. If you do, then cover the area where your pet will be. If the vehicle returns with pet dirt or odor, YOU WILL BE CHARGED for cleaning and deodorizing the vehicle. The charge is a minimum $80, depending on the work necessary. This is a strict policy that will be enforced. Please be considerate of others and our vehicles.

Roadside assistance means you can feel safe and secure driving a vehicle from Action Discount Car Rentals and knowing that should a problem occur (even a flat tire), you are just a phone call away from help.
Safety and peace of mind... that's what you get in our vehicles.

The rates printed on your Rental Agreement are ONLY valid until the Due Back date printed. If you extend the rental past the rental Due Back date printed on the Rental Agreement (contract) and return on a later date, the contract will be considered in breach. We reserve the right to adjust the rental rate of your contract with higher rates starting from day one of your contract. If any renter extends his/her rental past the Due Back date and those extended days fall into a weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) or into a holiday period such as any federal holiday plus others, the renter WILL BE RESPONSIBLE for the full rental policy and prices of that weekend or holiday. No exceptions can be made to this policy unless it is in written form and an updated Rental Agreement approved by our manager.

At times, due to conditions out of our control, if your vehicle is not available for you in a reasonable time, we might upgrade your vehicle to a similar one in order satisfy your reservation. An upgrade or change in the vehicle will be done at our discretion and with the decision of our management.

Please be advised that if you need to cancel your weekend reservation for a non-exotic vehicle we require that you notify us at least 24 hours in advance for a Friday pickup, or by Thursday 7:00PM for a Saturday or Sunday pickup. If canceling in less time than stated above there will be a cancellation charge that will be charged to your credit card. On non-exotic cars the cancellation charge for a weekend is the 1 day advertised internet weekend rate. On holiday rentals the charge is your full holiday rental rate. For exotic vehicles the charge is the 1 day internet rate for your pickup date and time, if not canceled within 48 hours of the pickup date and time . This includes weekend and weekday rentals. Holiday cancellation will be charged the full reservation rate. For 15 Passenger Vans the same policy applies, but the cancellation must be done within 72 hours of the pickup date and time. So please, if you must cancel, call ahead in plenty of time, and speak to an agent, ask for her first name, and agent number, and cancellation number.

If the renter, whether retail or corporate, extends the rental period to a new date past the original return date on the rental agreement, no matter the reason, this will automatically void any special pricing or rate that was associated with the original Rental Agreement. For example; if the renter was given a 2 day special price that included a certain % discount, and then decided to extend the rental to 5 days, then the % discount will no longer be valid and the total rental will be calculated by a new and possibly higher rate.

Each one of our vehicles is equipped with a spare tire (unless the vehicle has run flat tires), and a jack and lug wrench. It is the sole responsibility of the renter to replace the tire with the spare provided in case of a flat tire. We do not give flat tire replacement service. The renter is also responsible for the cost of the replacement tire. Unfortunately there is sometimes road hazard, but we do not assume responsibility for the damage caused to the tires and rims.

The renter is totally responsible for any parking, traffic, and E-Z PASS summonses during the time of the rental. If you ignore any summonses you receive, we will send your summonses to a company that charges a service fee to collect our tickets charges and bill you on YOUR credit card. Their fee is $40 over and above the summons fee, plus any additional late fees or other service charges administered by NYC or any other municipality that issued the summons. This could cost you a lot more than the original ticket. So don't get a ticket. If you do, pay it timely in order to avoid other charges. There is no escape from paying summonses. Please take our advise.

Due to liability regulations, though we are proud to supply Child Seats for your rental, we cannot install them in your vehicle.

The renter is fully and totally responsible for any damage sustained to, and the cost of repair or replacement of the tires and the rims of the rental vehicle. Any work done to the tires or rims MUST be first authorized by our manager.
If our manager approves a repair, the renter must return all claimed original parts including the tire, rim, and repair receipt upon return of the rental vehicle. If a vehicle is returned and it is found that the spare tire was installed and that the original tire sustained a flat, but will still be usable after he flat will be repaired, then the renter is still fully responsible to pay for the repair of the tire, including mounting and balancing of the tire.

Certain restrictions and conditions must be met to drive to Canada. Travel to Canada must have manager's approval.
Due to insurance policies, only certain vehicles in our fleet are allowed to travel to Canada. You must advise our agent that you are planning to travel to Canada. Only Midsize or larger class cars are allowed to travel to Canada. Please note that there will be a $100.00 surcharge added to any Rental Agreement of a vehicle which travels to Canada. If it is found that you traveled to Canada during your rental, and that we did not approve of it in writing, your rental rate will be changed and you will be charged and will be responsible for paying the revised rate of a vehicle traveling to Canada including the $100 surcharge.

Action Car Rental does NOT allow any of our vehicles to be driven into Mexico.
If it is found that your vehicle traveled into Mexico during your rental, you will be responsible for an additional rate surcharge of $2000 in addition to your rental agreement rate. So do not break the rules. No traveling to Mexico.

Young drivers are WELCOME at ACTION CAR RENTALS. Our minimum age requirement is 18. THERE IS AN UNDER AGE DRIVER SURCHARGE FOR YOUNG DRIVERS BETWEEN THE AGES OF 18-24. DRIVERS BETWEEN THE AGES OF 18-20 MUST PROVIDE THEIR OWN COLLISION INSURANCE COVERAGE. If under 21 and cannot provide your own coverage you are unable to rent any vehicle. Rates for 18-20 might be higher during holiday periods, proms, and graduations. RESTRICTIONS DO APPLY

NO repairs of any kind, no matter how large or small may be done to the rental vehicle without written approval of the management. If a repair is done without approval, the renter will be fully responsible for any and all additional repair work that might be needed in order to properly repair the rental vehicle and to brig it back to its pre rental condition.

A Weekend rental day is any day Friday through Sunday.

The only way a reservation is confirmmed is after a deposit has been taken by our office towards your reservation request. A cash or credit card deposit must be given in order for us to hold your reservation.

All drivers 23 years old and below are subject to a drivers license check and manager approval before rental of a 15 passenger van. The renter will be responsible for the cost of the drivers license check weather or not the rental is approved.

Minimum Age: 18

Age 18 to 20 - must supply your own insurance, or have car rental insurance on your credit card. Or rent with an additional driver over 24.

Age 21 to 22 - must supply proof of insurance or have car rental insurance on your credit card.

Age 23 to 23 - Surcharge applies.

3 additional drivers permitted an additional chargeof $ 5.00 applies per day(per additional driver)

For exotic vehicles, underage additional drivers must be approved by our management in writing.
